On a sweltering summer day in 2010, our founding team huddled in a small office in Jiangsu, arguing endlessly over a drawing stained yellow by coffee – a design sketch for an escalator step sprocket.

Our founder, a former engineer, had experienced countless escalator outages caused by inferior components: anxious passengers, paralyzed traffic, and scrambled maintenance teams. At that moment, we made up our minds: "If we're going to make escalators, we must make components that can withstand thousands of footsteps."
